Welcome to Kinderhaus!

Kinderhaus is a Waldorf-inspired, outdoor preschool and kindergarten for 3-5 year olds in Decorah, Iowa, that provides a warm and nurturing environment for young children in our community to learn.

Kinderhaus strives to develop the whole child: emotionally, socially, artistically, and cognitively.  Our goal is simple: to create an oasis in which children find the security and opportunity to develop into creative, imaginative, cooperative, self-motivated learners for the future.

  • Kinderhaus Enrollment 2025-2026

    Enrollment for next year is now open!  Looking forward to seeing a new bunch come together in the Fall! Kinderhaus 2025-2026 Enrollment Application The enrollment fee via paypal (link here) is submitted separately from the enrollment form so make sure you submit both. You will be notified late February/early March of your placement and predicted schedule.  

  • Kinderhaus open haus and enrollment

    We are already preparing for another great year of Kinderhaus fun by inviting prospective families to our Kinderhaus Open Haus, this Saturday, February 1st from 10AM-12PM. If you, or someone you know, has a little one that might be interested in enrolling for next year, please share or stop by!  Our enrollment will be opening Monday, February 3rd.
