On the Verge of Spring: Kinderfolk on Stage

On the Verge of Spring: Kinderfolk on Stage is being held at T-Bock’s Upstairs on Saturday, March 19. It is the first year for this festive event, to bring in the Spring and support Kinderhaus, Decorah’s outdoor-based, Waldorf-inspired preschool.  And it’s being generously sponsored by T-Bock’s Upstairs. Doors open at 7:00 P.M. And music starts at 7:30.

It will be a night of fun with music, poetry, adult coloring, appetizers and a cash bar. The featured musicians, Sweet Jenny Wren (Ellen Rockne, Lor Miller, Randi Berg and Kristin Albertson) will perform known tunes, some of which attendees will want to sing along to, as well as lesser known songs with rich harmonies, and original numbers. Stevie Ray McCargar and the Raylettes, with Otter Dreaming on piano, will perform Steve’s favorite genre: Motown. Otter will also perform a musical number (that is not Motown). Local poets Becky Idstrom, Cerissa Snethen and Charlie Langton will share some of their wonderful work as well.

Music, poetry, coloring with friends, community… What better way to celebrate a preschool? You can support Kinderhaus by giving a free will donation at the door. (Kinderhaus is a non-profit, so donations are tax-deductible.) Come out and bring in the Spring with friends and fellow community members. We’re on the verge!
